I am often asked, “What lines are your Chonggy dogs ?”. 

The answer? 

Ancient wild bulldogs  from China - mine own lines of 重庆犬  !

When I started my CQ dog endeavor, it was my heart's desire  to create an elite, distinct line of my own. I have never been much of a follower so Bamboo tails foundation dogs are not from Conservation Center, CCDC - Chongqing dog Club  or Kennel Hongya Cave - the wannabe  popular kennels… 

I  personally chose my dogs from my many trips to top  Chinese local breeders who breed the functional, working CQ ,a few from the City of Chongqing, a few from Chengdu and I was fortunate to have acquired the legendary progenitor,stud dog and 4x International Champion & Grand Champion  MangZi - the King of our breeding program . He's structurally correct, healthy and has an amazing temperament. At this time we are the first kennel in Europe to own this  wonderful mystic breed from Sichuan valley . In just 5 short years,  many of Bamboo Tail’s pedigrees are as many as 3 generations, an unrivaled accomplishment.
