Differences in understanding of Chongqing dogs in China and Europe

Foreigners and Chinese have different interests in this kind of dog. The interest of foreigners in Chongqing dogs is this is a rare, long-standing, full-fledged and strange natural ancient exotic dog! Especially when they saw the short muzzle Chongqing Han Dynasty sculpture photos and the wild hunting Chuandong hound photos posted on the Internet , they were shocked that China still retains such excellent original function dogs. They believe that if you get such a rare breed from the China , it is a living collection and a precious companion, a glory in front of friends. Chuandong hound from Sichuan valley, height 40- 50 cm , weight 25kg,the Chuandong hound pictured has a body of square appearance , there is no doubt about Origin and CKU Standard, perfect ! nothing to change , this dogs are really preserved in Original shape and type.

-In Russia is dominated type made by Irina Frankovich - LOVELY FROM BORDO KENNEL , this type are much higher and quadratic , which indicate crossbreeding of Chuandong hound .

Best way to understand difference is picture below of ABKC dog Show … there is only one true rare molosser dog and this is HU ! Hu is the dog who was chosen by CKU to be on many news cover as perfect represen of the bred . All other dog are the same tall type . Chongqing dog can't be size and proportion of Chuandong hound .

HU the dog on right side was chosen by CKU as one of most represented dog of the breed,just compare size and proportion with other (Hybrid) CQd, and build your own decision what is the real ancient type.

In Europe we have many CQd with correct proportion but unfortunately with longer muzzle, mostly sold by Tim Taylor dog broker from Sweden, and puppy mill Conservation Center (recently renamed in Hongya Cave Kennel ) , which also indicate cross breeding by Chuandong hound and Rottweiler .

All this happening because of Wang Peng and Tim Taylor can't be serious expert of CQd , not 10 years ago and not today.

Subtype of Chuandong hound , very similar to New Gina Dingo visible line in many European - Chongqing dogs.

This kind of dog is classic East sichuan Hunting dog, an primitive hound and definitely at all not CQd Molosser.
